The designer and the shipyard have announced the details of their new concept of collaboration…

Swedish company Tillberg Design from Sweden unveiled a yacht design in collaboration with the German superyacht builder Nobiskrug. The 77m (252ft) yacht Lycka has been designed and built to embrace the latest technology with customizable Scandinavian-inspired interior and deck spaces in a contemporary and sporty package.

Named after the Swedish word for ‘happiness’, Lycka was designed to offer owners and guests a home away from home in a Scandinavian space designed to evoke a sense of rejuvenation, well-being and connection to the sea.

Lycka has an expansive interior, which displays Scandinavian-inspired simplicity with elements of luxury. An open design highlighted by large rooms, tall windows and folding balconies allows indoors and outdoors to blend onto the main deck, which features a spacious salon and formal dining area.

Amidships, the foyer features a spiral staircase encircling an elevator that ascends from the lower deck guest cabins to the deck above. A well-equipped galley and pantry are positioned on the port side, while a dining area with another fold-down balcony has been placed on the starboard side just outside the owner’s suite. The full-width owner’s suite offers a sitting area and a bathroom including a walk-in closet.

Lycka has been designed to accommodate up to 14 guests in the aforementioned owner’s suite, plus six additional equal-sized suites on the lower deck. Crew quarters housing ten double cabins are located forward.

Attention to detail is seen through Lycka’s design, on the deck a combination gym/spa is located aft of the wheelhouse, followed by a desk, headboard and a skylounge. The captain’s quarters and a pantry with dedicated crew access to the galley below are also located on this deck.

Outdoor spaces are maximized throughout the 77 meter design, with lounging areas and bar on the aft deck, large dining area and lounging area on the aft deck deck and sundeck equipped with an elongated jacuzzi surrounded by sundecks forward with a wet bar and additional relaxation and entertainment aft.

Intended to integrate the latest technologies, Lycka is designed to meet Lloyd’s Register certification and can be equipped with diesel or hybrid propulsion. TDoS’ selection of durable materials is also factored into the design, which can be customized to the owner’s preferences.

“Lycka has been deliberately designed for longevity – from hull shape to material selection to technical systems – to meet future demands as well as environmental regulations,” says Daniel Nerhagen, Partner and Yacht Manager from TDoS. “By partnering with a renowned German shipyard for this design, our aim is to create a yacht that can stand the test of time with the highest build quality available.

The chart above highlights Nobiskrug’s deliveries since 2017 and their average LOA (m). During the period from 2017 to 2021, Nobiskrug delivered two projects, however, their backlog appears to be stable, with one project to be delivered every year until 2025 inclusive.
