The Royal Cork Yacht Club (RCYC) of Crosshaven received high praise for running Sunday’s Autumn League during a ‘weather window’ in Cork Harbour, bringing the fleet home before a blow of wind hits the Cork area, which was so strong that it caused severe damage and severe flooding.

The race plan involved starting an hour earlier and racing inside the harbour.

SCORA Treasurer Michael Murphy, who took part in the race, was impressed with the quality of the organization and the safety measures taken to complete the race safely.
