MMG acquires Chesapeake Bay Marinas
Monument Marine Group (MMG), a Baltimore-based investment firm, has acquired Nomad Norview Marina, Nomad Shelter Cove Marina and Nomad McDaniel Yacht Basin. All properties are on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland and Virginia.
Shelter Cove has 150 slips, fuel and gasoline sales, and can accommodate boats up to 50 feet. Norview is a full-service, 100-berth facility with many amenities like a swimming pool and water sports rentals. McDaniel Yacht Basin has 200 slips and offers maintenance and repair services, as well as a pool and vessel store.
Leisure Investment Properties Group Brokers Coan River Marina Sale
Leisure Investment Properties group brokered the sale of the Coan River Marina in Lottsburg, Virginia, an area in the northern neck of the state. Brett Murphy, vice president of investments, was the marina’s lead advisor on the transaction and said the property offers an opportunity to expand facilities and amenities.
The marina, located near the confluence of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay, has 60 deep-water wet docks and a fuel dock with new pumps. A 25 ton Marine Travelift services the shipyard portion of the facility and on the land side there is room for over 100 vessels. The sale was the subject of several offers, resulting in a closing contract of only 34 days.

Port 32 acquires Ortega Landing Marina
Port 32 Marinas LLC has acquired The Marina at Ortega Landing in Jacksonville, Florida. The luxury marina is part of a river home development that sits in a protected cove along the St. Johns and Ortega rivers. The facility will be renamed Port 32 Jacksonville.
Home to 192 slipways that can accommodate boats up to 130 feet, the marina offers many amenities to its tenants. A professionally designed captain’s clubhouse is a highlight with a swimming pool, hot tub, and outdoor grilling patio. The marina has traditionally hosted a variety of weekend events which the new owner plans to continue.
Suntex Marinas Acquires Largest Protected Inland Marina on Lake Tahoe
Suntex Marina Investors, LLC has purchased Tahoe Keys Marina on the south shore of Lake Tahoe in the city of South Lake Tahoe, California.
The marina includes approximately 270 wet docks for vessels 22 to 100 feet in length, outdoor dry storage for up to 150 boats, three above ground storage tanks supplying gasoline and diesel fuel and a Launching ramp. The property also includes three commercial buildings which will house a restaurant, retail and offices.
Simply Marinas Brokers Sale of two Tennessee marinas
Simply Marinas negotiated two off-market marina sales in Tennessee through the use of Simply Marinas’ confidential network. The owner of the Four Corners Yacht Club and Cedar Creek Marina, two of Tennessee’s largest first-class marina complexes, had an established long-term relationship with Simply Marinas. He contacted Simply Marinas to test the waters on a sale in this strong market. The two assets were agreed within a week.
The properties, purchased by Southern Marinas, include more than 1,550 wet slips, a new premium RV park, vacation rental cabins and a rental fleet. Cedar Creek offers fuel, a restaurant, a boat shop and a boat launch. Four Corners can accommodate boats up to 100 feet in length. Rentals are his main source of income.
SC State Ports Authority Terminal sells to Safe Harbor Marinas
Safe Harbor Marinas has acquired the former South Carolina State Ports Authority terminal in downtown Port Royal.
Gray Ghost Properties had owned the property since buying it for $9 million in 2017 from the South Carolina Ports Authority. The property includes the 240-unit Butler Marine Dry Stack and Sales; a 70,000 square foot concrete marine terminal built in 1959; and nearly 50 acres of developable land. The entire property is 317 acres, much of which is marshland.
Southern Marinas Acquires Tennessee and Florida Marinas
Tims Ford Marina and Resort in Winchester, Tennessee and Harbortown Marina in Merritt Island, Florida were sold to Southern Marinas Holdings II LLC, a partnership between a Denver-based private investment firm and Southern Marinas LLC.
Tims Ford is a full service marina and hilltop resort overlooking 10,700 acre Tims Ford Lake and adjacent to Tims Ford State Park. The property offers wet docks, RV sites, cabin rentals, fuel, boat rentals, and a Freedom Boat Club, as well as the year-round restaurant Hard Dock Café. The state park offers swimming, hiking, golfing, and fishing, as well as access to the lake which is one of the deepest in the state and considered a bass fishing hotspot. The company plans to add amenities and services to enhance the member experience.
Harbortown Marina is located between the Indian and Banana Rivers and has deep water access close to the Atlantic Ocean. The property includes wet docks, covered and uncovered dry storage, ship’s store, fuel dock, after-sales service, restaurant, heated swimming pool, showers and laundry facilities, dog park and a pavilion for members. The facility is close to Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center and only 40 minutes from Orlando.
Suntex Marina Investors Acquires More Florida Properties
Suntex Marina Investors LLC, based in Dallas, Texas, has purchased Seahaven Marina located in Dania Beach, Florida, and Caloosa Cove Resort and Marina located in Islamadora in the Florida Keys.
Seahaven is known as Broward County’s premier luxury protected harbor for superyachts with easy access to the airport by land and the Atlantic Ocean by sea. The facility can accommodate boats up to 250 feet and provides security through managed pedestrian access and monitoring. In addition to high security, the marina also offers bulk fuel delivery, water pumps, a private club for captains and crew, a fitness center, offices and a recreation center. Seahaven has state-of-the-art concrete docks and is a certified Florida Clean Marina.
Caloosa Cove is located on approximately 15 acres just one and a half hours east of Key West and two hours south of Miami. The marina is a destination property with a general store and ship’s store, roadside and marina fuel, an ocean-view restaurant, and a resort with ocean-view apartment-style units. ocean from all rooms. The marina consists of approximately 32 wet docks that can accommodate vessels up to 65 feet and 88 dry docks for boats up to 34 feet. Of the drydocks, approximately 76 are covered in a hurricane-rated barn. The adjoining resort has 30 apartment-style units with ocean and marina views. The Safari Bar & Grill is a historic beachfront bar and restaurant popular with locals and tourists alike that has been recently refurbished and is set to open under a new name this summer.
