An Easter Sunday dawn service will be held at Scrabo Tower, Newtownards, at 6.30am.

“We affirm that Jesus was resurrected bodily, physically in reality, historically and truly. He was resurrected in a way that defied the laws of biology, chemistry and physics and because of what happened on that day nearly 2,000 years ago, the world is no longer the same and can never be again.

“Easter explains that God pushes back the frontiers of evil and death. The story of death on Good Friday gave way to the story of new life on Easter Sunday. We live, then die – but Christ died, then lived.
