Come aboard these unique houseboats for rent in Rhode Island

Summer 2022 is bound to be a busy travel season across the country.

People are excited to get out and move around, and staying in one place constantly seems to be the goal.

But even if you’re not ready to travel far or don’t have the funds for a crazy vacation, there are some super cool staycations available in our own area. The SouthCoast is full of fun rentals, both on and off land.

Since cool treehouses to a renovated Quonset Hut, vacations across the South Coast are as great as they come. But what about leaving the coast and rejoining the real waters? There are also some pretty cool places to stay there.

We researched Airbnb and found that while nothing on the south coast was for rent, there are plenty of houseboats available in Rhode Island. Providence, Newport, even Westerly have boats to rent overnight, although not all of them will take you out to sea.

Whether you can truly float away from it all or just need to stay docked during your stay, some of the houseboat rentals really stand out. There’s the tiny house that floats, the full yacht experience, and a double-decker houseboat on its own private dock.

Keep scrolling to peek inside them all and see where you could float away from your stress this summer.
