“Given the poor situation and consumer enconómica desmedio in Puerto Rico, it is better to develop agriculture?

First

. Puerto Rico went through the rigors of World War II and was subjected to a naval blockade of Germany by greatly hindered the entry of imported products, including many foods. BUT still the island had many agricultural fields and agricultural consumption, which although not necessarily expressed in the market, guaranteed basic diet of its inhabitants by the family and informal economy. Access to food of the land was within reach of a largely peasant population. My parents who lived through the experience reminiscent of the shortage but say they do not have starved.AND NOW: Puerto Rico has no agriculture. Everything is imported. You buy food made for heating. Many people do not know how to cook and do not know about nutrition. Survives even local poultry production. The best land is under concrete. Contaminated water supplies. Little agriculture and livestock are subject to inputs of goods imported oil a major component of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers. Fruit trees, breadfruit, avocado, mango, citrus, peas, guava, soursop, etc. have disappeared from our yards substituted by ornamental gardens and pools. The wonderful coconut palms produce nuts of higher protein content and other valuable nutrients are almost disappearing nuetras coasts and urban environments. DO NOT BELIEVE ME IF YOU WANT IT, but unless you’re rich, you’re going to have to grow to at least supplement products in short supply or prohibitively expensive.Puerto Rico believe that damage was done to us because it kept a balance between agriculture, industry and services. This is because all these sectors need each other. A country can not live without agriculture. Let’s imagine if the future comes a World War and block us.At your trial.Do you think it’s best to keep markets fair competition is maintained in a safe to get a people to survive the bad times? You think it was a mistake to leave agriculture when mostly needed in Puerto Rico?Do you think that in future we will have problems blocking our products not produced on the island as it was before, during and after the Second World War in the 20 th century?Do you think that governments and society have failed badly in that?Explain and Review.Thank you and Happy Sunday.

The biggest mistake one can make in a country is to abandon the farm. And that I live in an oil country, but already started to grow rapidly, it is called agricultural Venezuela Mission, you can not let an inch of land without sowing and raising livestock, private schools have to do because if not, fined. It must study first the quality of the land to know correctly what should be planted, is a way to ensure food independence in a few short years. We now have large production of rice, coffee, bananas, corn, black beans and move on, through the exchange we received tractors and farm implements for this purpose. Puerto Rico should get down to work.

Many things are needed to Puerto Rico, such as fighting corruption, crime, defending the struggles of students and others. But what is most needed is free from the clutches of the Empire, gain independence and stop being a U.S. colony
