Are you convinced that there is still racism in Puerto Rico?

No one can discriminate against anyone in Puerto Rico because we are all mixed together like rice and beans and salsa.He who comes to discriminate you ask, and your grandmother! Where Is It?Mary R. , I appreciate and respect you, but I disagree with you. So you think that in Puerto Rico Racism does not exist? Then explains why in the Federal Census of 2.000 ’85% of Puerto Ricans who were white and put the rest were put to Indians, blacks, mulattos and other ethnic groups. And the same politicians and civic leaders discriminated against, and yet still do it with people who are much more bronzed than they are. So, with all the respect it deserves Roots Mi Gente Spanish, Indian, African, English, French, Dutch, German, Italian and Corsican, but especially that the Friends of Loiza not exist for the rest of Puerto Rico. Sure it exists and I tell you that here in Puerto Rico have been discriminated against Puerto Ricans themselves! To hide it. Of course there is!

That thing yours, Jose, do you think Puerto Rico state, suffered no losses to the language, culture and people? Look at Hawaii, Alaska and other southern states, Florida, for example, where Spanish was spoken first and today eh? the truth is one, and if they want to make Puerto Rico a state of the union, they have to forget about being Puerto Rican, Puerto Rico will never be in addition to state, and this is specified by the treaty of Paris 1898, the senators who signed this document so understand, read it and really, besides my brother, the U.S. does not like us or respect us, and do not let us go until we suck as a china eh! Look at our people mostly out of our land, not Don Albizu said, “do not want the straw ros, the cage is what they want!. Greetings. As for” racism “that word came to know in the U.S., UU in Puerto Rico do not know!

Unfortunately racism still exists, what happens is not something that people express openly. But I’ve seen people I know where one’s skin is darker than the other and had the disapproval of family members. It’s very sad that unfortunately is a reality. Greetings!

Why, yes! What happens is that racism is tapaíto, camuflajea’o, but there is always a time when they miss a comment and you can tell the seam. It never fails!Now people do not experesa racism openly, as before …. but weed never dies. What a shame! Do not even know if God is black ….

Definitely exists and occurs in either direction.I recently went to a public school for information for my children. To my surprise the first thing I asked was if we were foreigners just because our skin is white, but mine is so much sun tanned. We are definitely not the type to which they are accustomed and that I was born and lived all my life in Puerto Rico. The same thing happened to me when I was little, among the things they told me I mention: The sun is free, whitey, swollen, milk pot, etc. Appeared to be white was a crime. At one point I did not like to wear shorts for the facility that created me (That I solved it with the beach below.) Fortunately the pressures in the teenage years disappear later in life.Racism exists but is not as common as in other countries or states where E. U.. For the Dominicans, for example often treated dismissively or questions his intelligence. It bothers me to be treated that way when I see many of them fajarse work that we do not want to do.Actually my skin color or nationality of people I do not care and I have friends of all shades of the rainbow, rich, middle class and poor.There is rice and beans but there is also rice stew or grouting.Greetings.

Joseeeee! Beautiful Brother.Children make me laugh, for and no way you can answer.Well I can not answer because Ufaaaa!, Yet you still invite me to the island, as I can answer?, Something that now is not experienced.You put it well: “you can say the Argentine asado?, Nothing because you have not eaten and our wine? Less because you have not tried.But if I am “Convinced” that discrimination is ugly.Now with “Salsa Rice and Beans.” Look at that do not know!If you look at the time a case is and I laughing, neighbors knocking at my door or wall.Thanks for making me laugh, for your questions, let me love you for being beautiful, elegant, nice guy and so on. and more so.Until tomorrow, I’ll respond tomorrow.Kisses in your soul and cuddle in your heart.

Oh la la! @ 9:05 pm

Yes, I think so. As is the case with blacks, whites happens, as mentioned Lost at Sea I am aware that the same happens vice versa, in these days and in full Isla del Encanto where we are all mestizos or mulattos.Greetings!

cariñoso @ 9:27 pm

I think that looks should not have racism in any country, because for God there is no racism.

Deportista Boricua @ 10:02 pm

I’m so convinced that there is racism I have experienced on several occasions. The main one was when I became a boyfriend who is my wife. Most of his family accepted me for the dark color of my skin because she is blonde and green eyes. Over time they showed that the color of my skin did not prevent my girlfriend happy and now I agree. Of course, I always thought that was for commitment or obligation.

jessyka=monalisa @ 10:49 pm

Of course, if there is racism and discrimination many, that we see daily.When I was a teenage girl and resided where white boys told us, merely because she has white skin and blue eyes.But they also discriminate against obese people, the disabled, are objects of ridicule stutterers, epileptics, etc..We do not want to accept reality and say that there is racism, but also are the xenophobic racism, that is the reality in which we live, we must remove our blindfolds and be a little more humane and tolerant, we all live in this and we call planet Earth, we must build a better world for future generations.

ibel @ 10:59 pm

look I have heard that there is racism but I see no razon.todos are children of God.

Bianca @ 11:04 pm

Since the world began racism always existed and no longer exists anywhere in the world.
